| Overview: | The Structure is 6.2m in diameter and 18m in length. This fascinating bridge is a feature of the Manchester City Renewal Programme, acting as a gateway across the busy Corporation Street, linking the Arndale Centre to the new Marks & Spencers Store. The bridge was erected in one piece and clad on site with glass panels to form an hourglass shape. Delivery of the 6.2 metre diameter structure involved very detailed planning to avoid overbridges and involved lifting over the metrolink. | ||
